Modifying the port and the communication properties of a server
You can change the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) port if you use the default port (8081). You can change the TCP after the server is added to Management Control. If you change the port number, use a number that is not in use by another program or service.
You can also specify whether to use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) for communication between the console and a server.
- To modify the port and the communication properties of a server
- In the console on the toolbar, clickAssets.
- In theAsset Managementwindow, underAssets, select a server.
- In the sidebar underTasks, clickServer properties.
- In thePropertieswindow, in thePort numberbox, type the new port number.The default port number is 8081.
- CheckUse SSLto use SSL for communication between the console and server.
- ClickOK, and then clickClose.
