Creating a user-defined server subgroup

If your network contains many scanners (servers), create user-defined subgroups. Add servers to your user-defined subgroups that have a common purpose and, therefore, require the same protection. Using these subgroups, you can administer all of your servers that run Symantec Protection Engine on a group basis.
  1. To create a user-defined server group
  2. In the console on the toolbar, click
    Scanners
    .
  3. In the
    Scanner Management
    window, in the sidebar under
    Tasks
    , click
    New group
    .
  4. In the
    New Group
    window, in the
    Group Name
    box, type a name for the user-defined server subgroup.
  5. In the
    Global Group
    list, select the appropriate group, and then click
    OK
    .
  6. Click
    Close
    .
