Configuring the scanning aggression level

The Scanning Aggression Level defines the detection aggression level for threat detection technologies. Higher the aggression level, more are the number of files that are detected as threats. However, there is a possibility of false positives.
Following are the scanning aggression levels:
  • Known Bad
Potential threat detection is very low, which detects only the files that are known to be bad.
  • Low
    Potential threat detection is low.
  • Medium
Potential threat detection is higher than the low aggression level. By default, medium level is selected in Symantec Protection Engine.
