Configuring in-memory file scan cache size in the Core server only mode
Symantec Protection Engine can decompose and scan the contents of container files in a memory, which eliminates the latency that is imposed by on-disk scanning. You can configure the maximum memory that Symantec Protection Engine consumes for decomposing and scanning the contents of container files.
- To configure in-memory file scan cache size
- Go to the Symantec Protection Engine installation directory.
- Run the following command to specify the in-memory file scan cache size:xmlmodifier -s //filtering/Container/InMemoryFileScanCacheSize/@value <value> filtering.xmlAllowed values: 20 MB to 131072 MBDefault value: 2048 MB
- Restart the Symantec Protection Engine service.
