Install the Directory Management Package Using the dxwebsetup Command

You can use the dxwebsetup command to install the Directory Management package.

You can use the dxwebsetup command to install the Directory Management package. 
To install the Directory Management package using a command
  1. Log in as a user with administrator privileges.
  2. Insert the CA Directory installation CD.
  3. Open a command prompt.
  4. Change to the following directory:
    CD-ROM\webcomponents\windows
  5. Run the dxwebsetup command, with the options described.
 Command -- Install the Directory Management UI Package
The
dxwebsetup
command lets you install the components in the Directory Management UI installation package.
All of the parameters are optional, and if you choose to not specify a parameter, its default is used. 
dxwebsetup [ADDLOCAL=ALL | DXmanager, JXweb, ETRDocumentation] [DXMANAGER_SUPERUSER=user-name] [DXMANAGER_PASSWORD=password] [DXWEBSERVER_SECURE_PORT=port-number] [DXWEBSERVER_SHUTDOWN_PORT=port-number] [ETRDIRBASEPATH=installation-path]
  • ADDLOCAL=ALL | DXmanager, JXweb, ETRDocumentation
    Specifies which components to install.
    • ALL
      Installs the entire Directory Management package.
    • DXmanager
      Installs DXmanager.
    • JXweb
      Installs JXweb.
    • ETRDocumentation
      Installs the documentation.
  • DXMANAGER_SUPERUSER=
    user-name
    Specifies the name of the DXmanager superuser. Ensure that you create this user in Embedded Entitlements Manager.
    Default:
    dxmanager
  • DXMANAGER_PASSWORD=
    password
    Specifies the password for the DXmanager superuser.
  • DXWEBSERVER_SECURE_PORT=
    port-number
    Specifies the connection port on the CA Directory Web Server. This must be between 1024 and 65536.
    Default:
    8443
  • DXWEBSERVER_SHUTDOWN_PORT=
    port-number
    Specifies the shutdown port on the CA Directory Web Server. This must be between 1024 and 65536.
    Default:
    8005
  • ETRDIRBASEPATH=
    installation-path
    Specifies the installation path for the Directory Management package.
    Default:
    C:\Program Files\CA\Directory
