Prerequisites for Deploying a Cumulative Patch
Before applying the Cumulative Patch, back up the database. We recommend that you use the latest
Identity Manager
Server, Provisioning Server, and Connector Server Cumulative Patches.
Latest Identity Manager Cumulative Patch
Each Cumulative Patch is provided in a compressed tarball format (tar.gz).
  • On Linux, use "tar -zxvf <filename>" to extract compressed tarballs.
  • On Windows, extract the compressed tarballs.
To download and deploy the Cumulative Patch, refer to the information provided in the following table.

Customers using RACF v2 and/or Top Secret v2 connectors MUST install the following PTFs (maintenance) BEFORE applying Identity Manager 14.3 CP2. These PTFs are required to support the new features added to RACF v2 and Top Secret v2 connectors in 14.3 CP2.

Deployment Instructions
Follow the given instructions to deploy the patches:
  1. Download and extract Identity Manager 14.3 CP2.
  2. In the extracted folder, you can find the deployment instructions in the
    <Identity Manager Component>-140300-000x_Instructions_On_How_To_Deploy
    file.
Note 1:
In Identity Manager 14.3 Cumulative Patches, the following misspelled attributes,
  • LAST_MODIFED_DATE
  • BUSINEES_UNIT
  • NAME_SUFFFIX
are replaced with the following correct attributes,
  • LAST_MODIFIED_DATE
  • BUSINESS_UNIT
  • NAME_SUFFIX
After applying Identity Manager 14.3 Cumulative Patch, do the following:
  1. Replace the misspelled well-known attributes with the correct ones in the
    Provisioning Store Directory,
    User Store Directory, Environment Settings
    and Role Definitions
    XML files and import the files back to environment.
  2. In the Identity Manager Management Console, navigate to
    Environments,
    <environment>,
    Advanced Settings,
    Provisioning.
    Under the
    Attribute Mappings
    section, delete the existing misspelled attributes and add the corrected attributes.
Note 2 (Applicable to WebLogic only):
After applying Identity Manager Cumulative Patch and before starting the Identity Manager services, ensure that you remove the
tmp
and
cache
folders from the following locations:
  • ~/user_projects/domains/<your domain>/servers/<your server>/tmp
    Example:
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\AdminServer\tmp
  • ~/user_projects/domains/<your domain>/servers/<your server>/cache
    Example:
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers\AdminServer\cache
Note 3 (Applicable to WebSphere only):
After applying Identity Manager Cumulative Patch and before starting the Identity Manager services, ensure that you remove the
tmp
and
cache
folders from the following locations:
  • ~/WAS_HOME/profiles/<profile_name>/bin/clearClassCache.bat / sh
    Example: In a Command Prompt, navigate to
    C:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\bin and run
    clearClassCache.bat.
  • ~/WAS_HOME/profiles/<profile_name>/bin/osgiCfginit.bat / sh
    Example: In a Command Prompt, navigate to
    C:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\bin and run
    osgiCfginit.bat

Note 4 (Applicable to WebSphere only):
After applying Identity Manager Cumulative Patch and before launching the Workpoint Designer, ensure that you configure the Workpoint Administration Tool by following the procedure mentioned at Configure the Workpoint Administration Tools.

Deployment Instructions
If your existing Identity Manager deployment uses JBoss EAP 6.4 or WildFly 8.2 as application server, we recommend migrating to the supported version - JBoss EAP 7.2 or WildFly 15.0.x using the Migration Tool.
