Searches

Currently, search for users or groups in CA Identity Portal is performed through service tasks. The search page is linked to the service task. During the integration of CA Identity Manager with CA Identity Portal, you must import the role definitions into the Management Console of CA Identity Manager. The role definition files contain the service task required for CA Identity Portal. This method to search for users or groups limits the scope of the search.

The role definition files contain the service task required for CA Identity Portal. This method to search for users or groups limits the scope of the search.
To improve the scope of search and to specify the search conditions and limits, you can now create a managed object search. You can then associate this object to any module.
Follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to the Admin UI.
  2. Click
    Elements
    ,
    Searches
    ,
    Create
    .
  3. Specify a name and press Tab.
The Tag value is populated automatically.

    Filter
    tab.
  13. Specify the limits for the search as required.
  14. Click
