Configure a Connection

A system administrator configures a connection between the  and the JasperReports reporting server. Once the connection is established, you can generate and view reports.

Privileged Access Manager Server Control
 and the JasperReports reporting server. Once the connection is established, you can generate and view reports. 
Follows these steps:
 
  1. Open
    Privileged Access Manager Server Control
     user interface.
  2. Navigate to
    System
    ,
    Connection Management
    ,
    Report Server Configuration
    ,
    Manage Connection
    .
  3. Complete the following fields:
    • Protocol
      Specifies the protocol that is used for communication between
      Privileged Access Manager Server Control
       and the JasperReports reporting server. The default communication protocol is non-SSL. For secured communication, select
      SSL
      .
    • Host Name
      Specifies the name of the computer that hosts the reporting server.
    • Port
      Specifies the port that the reporting server uses for communication.
    • Context Path
      Specifies the context name of the reporting server URL.
      Example:
      jasperserver-pro is the context path in the URL: http://localhost:8080/jasperserver-pro/login.html
      Context path is case-sensitive.
    • Organization
      Specifies the name of the organization to deploy the report package. Enter the organization name as "pim" as it is mandatory. Before you configure this parameter, create the "pim" organization in the JasperReports Server.
    • User Name
      Specifies the name of the user administering the JasperReports reporting server.
      Default: jasperadmin
    • Password
      Specifies the administrator password for accessing the JasperReports reporting server.
      Default:
      jasperadmin 
  4. Click
    Submit
    .
On successful connection, the JasperReports reporting server details are stored in the central database.
