You find a class record to delete records, view records, or modify the properties of a record.

You find a class record to delete records, view records, or modify the properties of a record.
To find a record, use the search facility on the page that is dedicated to the class the record belongs to.
Example: Find a Terminal Record
The following procedure shows you how you can find a specific record of class TERMINAL so that you can modify its properties.
  1. In CA Privileged Identity Manager Endpoint Console, do as follows:
    1. Click Resources.
    2. Click the Remote Access subtab.
    3. Click Terminals in the Login Protection section on the task menu to the left.
      The Terminals page appears with the Search section available.
  2. Type in an Entity Name, and click Go.
    A list of Terminal records that match the entity name you entered appears.
    You can now delete, modify, or view any of the records that appear in the search results.
Example: Use Wildcards to Find a File Record
The following procedure shows you how you can find file resources that match a partial string using wildcards. In this case, we are looking for any CA Privileged Identity Manager files that are defined. We use here a search string that brings up a match on both UNIX and Windows endpoints for installations to the default path.
  1. In CA Privileged Identity Manager Endpoint Console, do as follows:
    1. Click Resources.
    2. Click the Local Resources subtab.
    3. Click Files in the System Resources section on the task menu to the left.
      The Files page appears with the Search section available.
  2. Type in the following Entity Name, and click Go:
    *CA?AccessControl*
    A list of File records that match the entity name you entered appears.
    You can now delete, modify, or view any of the records that appear in the search results.
