Duplicating a Validation server
Complete the following steps to quickly create a Validation server by duplicating an existing server.
To quickly set up a Validation server, you can create a duplicate an existing server. The new Validation server has the same vendor and application settings, as well as the same authentication mode.
- To create a duplicate Validation server:
- From theRADIUS Validation Serverpage of theValidationtab, clickDuplicatein theActioncolumn next to a Validation server that you want to copy.
- Edit the following fields, as required. You cannot change any other Validation server settings.FieldDescriptionServer NameEnter a name for the new validation server. The name must not include any spaces. The only characters that are allowed are numbers, letters, dashes (-), and underscores ( _ ).PortEnter the server port number (the default is 1812). If you have other processes (such as IAS on Windows, or a RADIUS server) running on port 1812, you must change the UDP port default or shut down the other server.RADIUS Shared SecretEnter the secret used by the Validation server. Client applications such as VPN gateways need this secret to connect to this Validation Server to authenticate the user.RADIUS Shared Secret must be from 7 through 32 characters in length and can contain alphanumeric characters.Confirm RADIUS Shared SecretReenter the shared secret that you entered in the RADIUS Shared Secret field.
