Configuring Configuration Console log format

Complete these steps to set the Configuration Console log format to the Common Event Format or the legacy log format.
By default, Configuration Console logs are written in a basic format (legacy). You can configure VIP Enterprise Gateway to write Configuration Console logs in the Common Event format. The Common Event Format can be used by common security information and event management (SIEM) applications to standardize log viewing. The Common Event Format is supported for all Configuration Console logs except startup.log, jettyServer.log and syslog.
  1. To configure your log format:
  2. In the
    Logs
    tab, click
    Log Format Configuration
    .
  3. Click
    Edit
    .
  4. Set whether the Configuration Console uses the legacy log format or the Common Event Format for all logs that are captured by the Configuration Console.
  5. Changing the log format affects all Configuration Console logs. If you change the log format, you must restart all VIP Enterprise Gateway components. Click
    Continue
    from restart prompt on the
    Home
    page.
