Configuring SMTP Server settings
You can configure an SMTP server that VIP Enterprise Gateway can use to send Health Check email notifications to administrators and registration emails to users.
VIP Enterprise Gateway supports the following protocols:
- SMTP
- LOGIN PLAIN
- DIGEST-MD5
- NTLM
- XOAUTH2
- EXTERNAL Authoritative
- SMTP relays

- From theSettings > SMTP Server Settingspage, clickEnable.
- Complete the following fields, as required:FieldDescriptionHost NameEnter the IP address (in IPV4 format) or fully qualified domain name of the SMTP server.PortEnter the port number on which the SMTP server listens.Enable SSLSelectYesif the SMTP server is protected by an SSL certificate. The certificate must be a self-signed certificate using 12.0.0.1 as the IP.Auth-based SMTP ServerSelectYesif the SMTP server uses basic authentication for access. If you selectYes, you must also provide the user name and password to access the SMTP server.Sender's Email AddressEnter the sender's email address to display to recipients of emails sent by this SMTP server.Recipient's Email AddressEnter the email address that recipients should use to reply to emails sent by this SMTP server (if different from the sender's email address).
- ClickTestto test the SMTP email server configuration. VIP Enterprise Gateway sends a test email to the Recipient's Email Address.
- ClickSaveto apply the changes.
