Securing Your Connection to the VIP Authentication Service
Complete these steps to set up a secure connection from VIP Enterprise Gateway to the VIP Authentication Service.
Before you can begin using VIP Enterprise Gateway, you must set up a secure connection to the VIP Authentication Service using a VIP certificate. VIP Enterprise Gateway uses the VIP certificate to authenticate to the VIP Authentication Service in the cloud, and to encrypt communications. You can obtain a VIP certificate (in .p12 format) from VIP Manager. See the VIP Manager online Help for details on obtaining a VIP certificate.
After obtaining the VIP certificate, you import it to VIP Enterprise Gateway.
You can also import and manage SSL certificates and Trusted CA certificates from the
Settings
tab.All VIP certificates are listed in a table on the
Settings > VIP Certificates
page. From this page you can do the following actions:- Click the name of the VIP certificate to view details about the certificate.
- ClickUse this Keyin theActioncolumn next to a VIP certificate to begin using that VIP certificate for communications with the VIP Authentication Service.
- ClickDeletein theActioncolumn next to a VIP certificate to delete the VIP certificate.
You can also import (add) a new VIP certificate from this page.
