Installing CCS Content (SCU)
Control Compliance Suite makes available a set of predefined Technical Standards, Frameworks, and Regulations. When you install CCS for the first time, by default, the CCS Suite installer installs content for the following Technical Standards and Regulations.
CCS makes available a set of predefined technical standards, frameworks, and regulations, which are part of the CCS Security Content Update. During the upgrade, the CCS installer updates the CCS Security Content Update to the latest available version. For more information, see the

.You can install more content using the CCS Content installer. The CCS Maintenance license is required to install the CCS Content.
Perform the following procedure before installing the CCS Content:
Install the CCS Application Server. For more information, see the
Installation of CCS components
section in Installing Control Compliance Suite.To install the CCS Content (SCU):
- To launch the Installation Wizard, download and open the CCS installation packageSymantec_Control_Compliance_Suite_<VersionNumber>_Windows_EN.zip.
- In the security warning dialog box, clickRunand extract the contents of the zip package.
- In theInstallsetfolder, double-clickSetup.exe.
- In the DemoShield, clickCCS Suite.On the splash screen, clickInstall CCS Content. The Setup file is located inside the CCS_Content folder of the product media.Setup prepares the CCS Content installation wizard.
- To install the CCS Content, in theWelcomepanel of the launched installation wizard, clickNext.
- In theAdd Componentspanel, check the Technical Standards, Frameworks and Regulations which you require for the appropriate platform, and then clickNext.You can select individual standards or select a platform name to select all standards for the particular platform.Message-based content for Windows and UNIX platforms appears only if message-based data collection is enabled.
- In theInstallation Folderpanel, review the installation path for product installation.Click browse (...) to specify a different installation path to install the product.ClickRefresh disk space informationto verify the available disk space on the computer.
- ClickNext. If you have specified a different installation path, and the installer folder does not exist, the installer prompts you to create the installation folder.
- In theSummarypanel, review the installation details, and then clickInstall.
- TheInstallation Progresspanel indicates the progress of the component installation. After the installation finishes, theFinishpanel appears.
- In theFinishpanel, review the installation result and then clickFinish.You can click the link,Log Filesto view the CCS Content installation log files. The log files are in .csv format. You can use the LogViewer in the <Install_Directory>\Application Server to view the log files. The LogViewer helps you to easily identify warnings and errors using the color codes. Warnings are highlighted in yellow color and errors are highlighted in red color.You can check the option to view the release notes.
