In the following situations, the DLP Agent is unable to monitor print actions that are performed using Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge:
- The website being accessed supports inline editing of linked documents. For example, Google Docs.
- The web page provides custom printing options which cannot be monitored. For example, a web page might have an embeddedPrintbutton, or the menus of a web app might contain a print option. For example, Gmail users might attempt to print emails by clicking the printer icon at the top right corner of the conversation.
- The web page or web app uses customized rendering of file contents. For example, viewing a PDF attachment in Gmail that opens within the same browser tab or viewing a Microsoft Office document at the Box website.
- The document or web page is viewed while simulating a different browser. For example, viewing a document or web page using Microsoft Edge in Internet Explorer mode.
