Drive Encryption Self-Recovery
- Authentication

When the
Drive Encryption Self-Recovery
policy is enabled on the server, and if you are a registered user, then you can create the self-recovery questions and answers using Self-Recovery on
Management Agent
.
You can also edit the existing self-recovery questions and answers using Self-Recovery on
Management Agent
. However, you cannot edit the security questions that the administrator creates while enabling the
Drive Encryption Self-Recovery
policy. You can edit the security questions and answers that you have already defined.
You need to authenticate before you create or edit the security questions and answers using Self-Recovery on
Management Agent
. The administrator sets the authentication policy on the server, which defines whether you authenticate with a password, a token, or either a password or a token.
Based on the authentication method, one of the following appears:
  • When the authentication method is password, on the
    Self-Recovery Authentication
    screen, only the
    Password
    tab appears.
  • When the authentication method is a token, on the
    Self-Recovery Authentication
    screen, only the
    Token
    tab appears.
  • When the authentication method is either, a password or a token, on the
    Self-Recovery Authentication
    screen, both the
    Password
    and the
    Token
    tabs appear.
