Change How Costs are Calculated in Reports

By default, the

Web Security Service

uses the United States currency value of $0.10 to calculate the estimated costs associated with user Web browsing. The Bandwidth Costs Per... reports calculate the data based on this value (also available in other reports as an option).

Change this value if:

You want to increase the estimated cost of Web browsing.

You want to change the currency to one used by another country.

This requires the Admin User role.

Use Case

In an IT role, you are responsible for determining how much to back-bill Internet use costs to various departments.

Procedure

Navigate to

Account Configuration

In the

Reporting Settings

area, click

Cost Calculation for Reports

Change the cost calculation, as required.

Select a different

Currency

Change the

Cost per GB

. Set the rate that your company uses to charge for bandwidth.

Some reports have columns for data based on

Costs per hour

. Set that bulk rate here.

Click

Save
