Procedure for opening the Global Console
To open the
Global Console
:- Start theGlobal Console.
- On a UNIX system, go to the BASEDIR/smarts/bin directory in theService Assurance Manager(Global Manager) installation area and type:sm_guiPressEnter.TheAttach Managerdialog box opens.
- In the dialog box:
- Ensure that theVMware Smart Assurancefor your deployment appears in theBrokertext box.
- Click theManagerlist box or theBrowsebutton to display a list of active (running) s, and from that list select aDomain Manager(for example,VoIP-AM) or aGlobal Manager(for example,INCHARGE-SA) in your deployment as the to which you want to connect.
- Type your login username and password. (For the default administration login, the username value is admin and the password value is changeme.)
- ClickOK. A console opens.What console opens at this point depends on whether you selected aDomain Manageror aGlobal Managerapplication.If you selected aDomain Manager, a Topology Browser Console opens by default as shown in Topology Browser Console—example. In this example, the Topology Browser Console is attached to aDomain Managernamed VoIP-AM.Topology Browser Console—example
