Automatically configured communication links
provides an autoconfiguration program that automatically makes the “add source”
calls to set up the communication links between (1) the MPLS servers, themselves, (2) the MPLS servers and the
IP Availability Manager
sources, and (3) (optional) between the MPLS Monitoring Server
and . All a user needs to do is to start the MPLS servers.During the start up of the MPLS
servers, the autoconfiguration program reads a file named mpls-tma.conf to set up the following topology and status connections:
- Connections for topology transfer:
- FromIP Availability Managerto theMPLS Topology Server
- From theMPLS Topology Serverto theMPLS Monitoring Server
- From theMPLS Topology Serverto theMPLS Analysis Server
- Connections for status flow:
- FromIP Availability Managerto theMPLS Monitoring Server
- From theMPLS Monitoring Serverto theMPLS Analysis Server
- (Optional) From to theMPLS Monitoring ServerThe autoconfiguration program identifies theIP Availability Managerand sources by reading the mpls.conf file, described in“Description of mpls.conf” on page 30.
