Specifying the underlying domains

You, as the administrator, use the IC Domain Configuration objects to specify the underlying MPLS and
IP Availability Manager
domains in an
deployment. Doing so associates each underlying domain with the proper DXA file, which identifies the topology and events that the
Global Manager
should import from that domain.
The procedures in this section assume a typical
deployment in which a domain group consists of three component servers:
  • A topology server
  • A monitoring server
  • An analysis server
The expectation is that an administrator will either accept the default MPLS domain group named INCHARGE-MPLS, or make a copy of the default MPLS domain group to create a new MPLS domain group that has a different name. For example, you might make a copy of INCHARGE-MPLS and name it ASIA-MPLS.
This section provides procedures for the following two configuration scenarios:
  • Configuration scenario 1: An
    deployment that contains:
    • An MPLS domain group named INCHARGE-MPLS.
    • An
      IP Availability Manager
      named INCHARGE-AM.
  • Configuration scenario 2: An
    deployment that contains:
    • An MPLS domain group named ASIA-MPLS.
    • An
      IP Availability Manager
      named ASIA-AM1.
    • An
      IP Availability Manager
      named ASIA-AM2.

      deployment, consult the
