CLI commands overview
The
MPLS Topology Server
component of uses CLI commands to perform CLI discovery for any of the following conditions:- SNMP discovery fails.
- MIB is not supported by the target device.
- MIB cannot provide the required information. For these conditions, theMPLS Topology Serverestablishes a Telnet, SSH1, or SSH2 connection to the target device and issues specific CLI “show” commands to discover MPLS and VPN topology objects and their relationships.TheMPLS Topology Serveralso uses CLI commands to execute on-demand LSP ping requests. For LSP ping execution, theMPLS Topology Serverestablishes a Telnet, SSH1, or SSH2 connection to the target device and issues a specific CLI “ping” command to start the LSP ping, and parses the ping command output to obtain the LSP ping test results.
