Not all of the underlying physical-transport objects that are understood by
are shown in Figure 18. For example,
also understands Cable and TrunkCable objects. In addition, the network cloud in Figure 18 represents various types of connections between the two physical interfaces that are underlying the IS-IS adjacency, including connections between ports on intermediate switches.
