Add Virtualized Infrastructure Managers and Kubernetes Layer
The Virtualized Infrastructure Managers (VIM) and Kubernetes layer contains NSX-T, vCenter, VIO, vCloud Director configurations and the CaaS infrastructure includes the configuration.
Ensure that you perform the following tasks:
- Before configuring the VIM layer, you must configure the ESM server under the Domain Manager configuration in Smarts Integration. For more information, see Create Smarts Integration topic.
- Before configuring the in the alerts monitoring mode, ensure that you configure Domain Settings for the ESM and OI server. For more information, see Add Domain Settings topic.
- Navigate to .
- In the 5G integration section, clickAddand depending on the requirement selectTCP-5G-CoreorTCP-RANfrom the drop-down menu.
- In theAdd Integrationsection, selectVIM/K8s.
- ClickNext.
- In the Description section, enter the name and description. The description field is not mandatory when adding new 5G Integration.
- In the Credentials section, selectBroker Host and Port.
- ClickNext.
- In the VIM and Kubernetes section, clickAdd.
- From the drop-down menu, select the required configuration.
In the 5G Integration section, if you clickAddand selectTCP-RAN, you can see configurations for only vCenter, VIO, and in the VIM/K8s layer.- For creating an integration usingNSX, enter the parameters as listed in the following table and clickSave.Input ParameterDescriptionDefault ValueName of the NSX-TProvide the NSX-T instance name.NAHostnameProvide the NSX-T hostname.localhostUsernameProvide the NSX-T username.adminPasswordProvide the NSX-T password.NAPortProvide the REST API port for the NSX-T.443ProtocolProvide the REST API protocol for the NSX-T.httpsDomain ManagerSelect domain manager from the drop-down menu.NA

- The following special characters are supported for vCenter password in VMware Telco Cloud Service Assurance:~!@#$%*_-+|(){}[]:;”,.?/‘
- For creating an integration usingVMware Integrated OpenStack (VIO), enter the parameters as listed in the following table and clickSave.Prerequisites for VIO Discovery:
- Ensure that you have the Cloud administrator read-only privileges which has the visibility and role across all Domain and Projects.
- For connections, enable SNMP and LLDP on hypervisors and connected physical switches. To discover connections between a physical switch and a KVM hypervisor, the LLDP Protocol (LLDP) must be enabled on both the physical switch and the hypervisor. If LLDP is not enabled, the connections between the physical switch and the hypervisor are not created. For more information on VIO Discovery, referServer Manager User and Configuration Guide.
