Configure Domain Settings

This section provides information on how to configure the Domain Settings.
  • VMware Aria Operations
    must be installed and Kubernetes Management Pack must be deployed.
  • Kubernetes Management Pack must be configured to manage the infrastructure.
  • The infrastructure must be deployed and managed by VMware Telco Cloud Automation.
  • Modify the
    /etc/hosts
    file where the Domain Manager Servers are running to update the IP address to Kafka Service mapping:
    • For TKG deployment,
      < Virtual IP address of the VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid workload cluster> kafka-edge
      .
    • For AKS and AWS deployment:
      < Kafka Edge IP> kafka-edge
      .
    • For VM Based On-Prem Demo deployment:
      <Kafka Edge IP> kafka-edge

  1. Navigate to
    Administration
    Configuration
    Domain Settings
    .
  2. Click
    Add
    .
    Add Domain Settings
    page is displayed.
  3. Under
    Broker & Domain Credential
    , update the following parameters:
    • Name
      : Enter a name for the Broker and Domain Credential.
    • Broker Host
      : Select the Broker Host from the drop-down menu.
    • Domain Manager
      : Select the Domain Manager from the drop-down menu.
    • Domain Credential
      : Select the Domain Credential from the drop-down menu. The default is
      defaultSmartsDomainCredential
      .
    AddKafkaCredentialsMavenirBroker
  4. Under
    Kafka access & Collectors
    , update the Kafka configuration.
    • Discovery Topic
      : Enter the discovery topic.
    • Monitoring Topic
      : Enter the monitoring topic.
