Metrics Retention Period

At regular intervals,
NSX Advanced Load Balancer
Service Engines collect values for a wide range of metrics and sends them to the
NSX Advanced Load Balancer Controller
. The Controller then aggregates these metric values into several buckets.
The
NSX Advanced Load Balancer
updates the metrics periodically as defined in the Metric Update Frequency in the virtual service configuration. If a DDoS event is detected by an SE, the SE immediately sends information about the attack to the Controller, instead of locally storing the data until the next polling interval.
The following table lists the increments in which metrics data can be displayed in the web interface. The data granularity per increment and the retention period also are listed.
